What the checker does
Most AI visibility tools ask you to type in the prompts you want tracked. This one starts from your website instead: it reads your home page and a few others, works out what you sell and where, and writes the questions a customer would ask an assistant about it, such as “best accountant in Tampere” or “who does roof repairs near me”.
It reads your site
The home page and a few other pages (ten in the full report), as a search engine would. No login, and nothing on your site is changed.
It asks the questions customers ask
Questions about your service in your area, in the language your customers use, asked of ChatGPT with web search on, so it looks things up as it does for a real person.
It reads the answers
Which companies each answer names, in what order, which sites it read, and whether your own site was among them.
What you see in the free report
- Whether ChatGPT names you and in how many of the answers.
- Who it recommends instead the companies named most often for your questions.
- What it searched the web searches ChatGPT ran before answering (query fan-out): often shorter, more generic, and sometimes in English for a question asked in Finnish or Swedish.
- Which sites it read directories, review sites, news and competitors’ pages: the places where being listed matters.
- Whether AI crawlers can read your site a site that blocks GPTBot or ClaudeBot can’t be quoted by them.
The full report (one-off, no subscription) adds Claude and Gemini, asks every question several times so the figures are shares and not anecdotes, scores every competitor named, and ends in an action list ordered by what matters most.
Why one answer isn’t enough
Ask ChatGPT the same question twice and you can get two different lists. That is why typing a question into ChatGPT yourself tells you little: you might be named once and missed the next time. The checker asks several questions and reports how often you are named across them. The full report repeats each question and shows how stable the answers are.
The results come from the assistants’ official APIs, which can differ slightly from what the consumer apps show a logged-in user. Treat them as an estimate of where you stand, not a ranking that is the same for everyone.
What to do with the result
If you are named rarely or not at all, the report shows where the gap is: the sites the assistant read that don’t list you, the questions your pages don’t answer, the facts about your business it couldn’t find. The guides on generative engine optimization and ChatGPT SEO explain each fix in more detail.
Frequently asked questions
Is the AI visibility checker free?
Yes. The free scan needs only your website address: no account, no card. The full report is a one-off purchase if you want Claude and Gemini too, repeated answers and the action list.
Which AI assistants does it check?
The free scan asks ChatGPT, with web search, five questions. The full report asks ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini fifteen questions each, side by side.
How long does it take?
A few minutes. If someone has already scanned your market, it is faster: the answers are shared and only your own site is read.
Does it work for businesses outside Finland and Sweden?
Yes, for any website. It is built for local service businesses in the Nordics, so Finnish and Swedish questions and sources are handled with particular care.
Do you change anything on my website?
No. The checker only reads public pages, like a search engine does.
